L'ormai raro, almeno in Piemonte e nell'italia del nord ovest, coniglio selvatico (Oryctolagus cuniculus) quasi del tutto soppiantato dalla minilepre (Sylvilagus floridanus) di origine americana. Le due specie si differenziano perlopiù nel colore, molto più rossastro nel coniglio selvatico, per le orecchie (più grandi nel coniglio) e per la coda che nella minilepre presenta il classico batuffolo di peli bianchi. La foto non è qualitativamente eccezionale ma data la rarità dell'incontro ho deciso di postarla.
