Ciao! Bella foto! Come hai ottenuto un macro così col 18-55 mm?

Hello! Nice picture! How did you get such a macro with the 18-55 mm?

grazie!

Thank you! I reverse the lens via ring inversion (1 euro on ebay), taking care to close the iris in advance, use a manual flash with softbox made craft with aluminum foil and parchment paper. Since the Salticidi extremely active shooting freehand (it would be impossible to keep up with a tripod); focheggio going back and forth (millimetric) until the eyes seem to focus, I say seem because the viewfinder is very dark (stop down) and it is difficult to make sense of it at the beginning. If you have any other questions ask away :-)

Grazie!

Yesterday I tried it but the focus is tough having to bring a lot. I will try to become familiar.
In your photos I would say that the results are great.
Now I buy the ring immediately. I saw that some also sell the "Rear Lens Mount Protection Ring".
You you recommend it?

Thank you!

Ciao!

Hello! I have never used filters to protect the lens back in the "rear mount lens protection" if we do not screw it a filter to close the terminal part of the lens, it will protect very little; also have more stuff in front of the lens reduces the minimum distance of focus, in these cases each mm is valuable. Obviously you will need to be careful and hope that you will stick no spider Objective:-P
At the beginning you can use it to practice inverted 50-55mm with the aperture open, so that the viewfinder will be brighter and wider distance maf and easily manageable (if I remember well over 12 cm), and then when you have learned to caught fire at 50mm (which offers a rr around 1x) can increase the magnification using the 30-35 mm, then the 24mm etc. .. it's all a matter of training so do not give up, yourecommend starting with static objects or insects that rest because the jumpers are demon-possessed!

Unfortunately the seller where I bought the ring inversion does not send more in Italy but on this page you can find the same product just over a euro www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_sop=15&_nkw=58m
