, 30 sec f/2.8, ISO 1600, tripod.

Francis hello to my mind the noise reduction is a bit excessive ... the Milky Way is poorly defined.

I also have the tokina ... I do not do the fusion of more 'shots to the sky, then your technique I do not know ... but shooting only 30 seconds, and ISO 1600 tend to remove the noise enough with camera raw. .. even if I see him in the final frame, unfortunately, having a body would consider physiological APCs! anyway coming to shoot ... I love it ... you are getting a very good compo with water to reflect the stars ... very good! as one of the first shots I feel great!

Beautiful photo, I was at Frassati to June 26, but during the day it was raining and at times, make me want to go back hoping for a rare starry night. Thanks for the idea of ??more shots, I want to try.

Hello and thank you to both of the passage.
It is true, the Milky Way is not very defined, but have not been able to pull off much more in the post without exacerbate it and give it a look too artificial. I have definitely improved in post production, but it is not easy, it is a bit 'I've tried to experiment ... As for noise reduction, yes, a little' I cr recovered, but the rest was very useful stacking (having trawled a bit 'the web to inform me, I was inspired by this video [URL =] )

Magu, I did a week of running to the shelter as a volunteer for Operation Mato Grosso from 5 to 11 July.
Also we have found a part-time non-exceptionaland a few days (even a couple of days it snowed in one night and put down 5 cm, even though he already had melted during the day).
And 'the second year that I'm going to handle it Frassati and shoveling snow in June to make the opening season, but I'll definitely still on because the place and the shelter are fantastic and unique (I guess you knew that the shelter is run by volunteers and all proceeds are used to support the OMG missions in Peru and in other poor countries).
The other photos of this gallery (with the exception of the 3 I've done in Saint Barthelemy) I made last year still there at the shelter.

You know as well as the refuge of the Angels, former Scavarda. I am passionate hiker. I know the area as well as the beautiful hill Malatrà which preserves the nice shots. Who knows, maybe skim the Frassati, maybe for a few photos at night. Good management and despite the shoveled snow, I envy you for the wonderful place to walk a bit 'of your time.
