Una giovane Aquila di Bonelli (Aquila fasciata) mobbata da due taccole. Per due mesi ho seguito con trepidazione la sua vita nel nido, partecipando ai turni di sorveglianza di uno dei campi organizzati dal Coordinamento Tutela Rapaci Sicilia. Ritrovarla a tre settimane dal primo impacciato voletto, vederla lanciarsi in giocose picchiate sui genitori e schivare abilmente gli attacchi dei corvidi è stata per me una gioia indescrivibile! Dedico la foto a tutti i volontari che, avvicendandosi nel campo di protezione, hanno reso possibile questo volo - Postproduzione di Antonio Guarrera

Hai detto bene, Maurizio: un'esperienza emozionante! Certo non è una "passeggiata" alzarsi prestissimo per trovarsi sul campo alle prime luci del giorno, affrontare lunghi spostamenti in auto letteralmente morti di sonno e vivere in ogni turno la tensione di essere preceduti dai bracconieri o fare brutti incontri... Ma il tutto è ampiamente ripagato dalla gioia di portare all'involo le giovani aquile e così dare un piccolo contributo alla conservazione di questo splendido rapace.
