Heron Cinerino in Milan sent on July 14, 2014 (19:49) by Soriana. 25 comments, 1584 views.

, 1/400 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held. Milano, Italy.

Crop. Lunghezza focale 300 eq.450

Very classical composition for a pleasant result. The heron is inserted gently into the context, it seems to come on the scene in a very discreet ...

Clara hello! you take a picture really nice, especially in the setting of the subject and perfectly lit! only the maf seems perfect, probably due to deception immediately dall'autofocus the many targets ... we should look at the exif data to see what kind of pointing you used ....
congratulations again for the picture!
Mario ciauzz

ps nice also the caption!

Thank you Louis!
Thanks to you Mario! In fact I have a problem with the focus. From the exif proceeds in the following comparison adjustment mode: spot, but I do not think that has to do. I think I have used the central pointing, then I do not remember if I was with the single focus or continuous. However, the problem does not only reflected in this picture, especially since I have the K30 combined with the 55-300. I have to make some tests :-(

I agree with Rial, considering where you've taken that photojournalism is more naturalistic

When I see these killers flutter along rivers and streams, and gorging spopolandoli trout, I get angry very own. Now, looking at this in your beautiful photos lit by a beautiful light, I can see how Nature really did it: beautiful, elegant and above all to be respected. Clara Brava for posting this beautiful shot! Thanks and regards alberto

It looks like a really beautiful specimen.
Excellent framing consists of a pleasant background that helps to remove and accentuate the contours of the subject in the foreground:-P.
I can well understand your emotion in Clara trovartelo nearby, certainly does not happen every day ... ;-) (I tried one with my daughter, perhaps even more 'intense, given the particularity' and proximity to the subject ), when you happen to be passing through my photos, try to tell me about it, what do you think black heron proposed in the gallery of birds ...
A warm greeting, hello, Claudio

One click naturalistic well executed, a gray heron well set in the middle of a thick green foliage.
This big bird in addition to loving the marsh to feed on fish, frogs, eels and shrimp, do not disdain to hunt other species of animals that live in the countryside, so many rodents, reptiles, earthworms, large insects and even small birds, sadly leave us "pens".
Nice shot!

@ Pierangelo67: thanks for the appreciation
@ Mark Riccardi: in fact mine was a fluke. I went there because I had read of their presence, but almost did not believe it, so when I have seen it before I was out of breath.
@ Nightflier: thanks for the compliments. For me, I'm not a wildlife photographer, while loving and respecting nature, being able to see and shoot this beautiful specimen is a great achievement, to go beyond the purely technical which is unfortunately a bit 'lacking. ..
@ Peter: Your appreciation makes me very, very happy. Greetings :-)
