Ciao Roberto, grazie del commento, hai ragione, purtroppo avevo lo zoom tirato a 500 quando il gheppio si è posato su quel ceppo, e quindi ho preferito portarmi a casa lo scatto (anche con il soggetto tagliato) piuttosto che accorciare la focale e rischiare che volasse via... infatti nello scatto successivo, dove ho provato ad accorciare e ricomporre, il gheppio era volato via... l'attimo era fuggente ed il gheppio sfuggente!

Hello Robert, thanks for the comment, you're right, unfortunately I pulled the zoom to 500 when the kestrel is resting on the stump, and then I decided to bring home the shot (even with the subject cut) rather than shorten the focal length and risk that fly away ... in fact in the next shot, where I tried to get a goal and recompose, the hawk flew away ... the moment was fleeting and elusive kestrel!
