E' stato uno scatto sofferto perché il predatore, ogni volta che mi avvicinavo e vedeva la mia ombra, cercava di nascondersi dietro allo stelo trascinandosi la preda, mentre la farfalla continuava a ruotare su se stessa. Ho atteso pazientemente che il lepidottero si portasse con il corpo parallela alla fotocamera, quindi con la mano sinistra ho fatto dei movimenti dietro il fiore per fare in modo che il predatore uscisse allo scoperto e si allineasse alla farfalla. Raggiunto lo scopo ho scattato.
