As for the location of the lake is located slightly recessed and is therefore especially at sunset to sunrise but inevitably ends up in the shade. Only the Pale will be lit bright and beautiful will be their reflection on the water (provided that there is no breeze as in this case), but the whole outline will be very dark, black. Not ideal.
Then you have to appreciate it in the mid-afternoon hours when the blades are no longer backlit and the lake is still shaded by the ridge of Cima Strait.
That said, the place is magnificent and definitely worth a trip.

Intanto un grazie collettivo a Bepi, Gianmarco, Simone e Diego49 per il passaggio ed il commento!
Ora qualche nota tecnica sullo scatto. Mi fa piacere parlarne con voi.
Lo scatto originale ha il cielo e le Pale molto più chiare ed infatti aprendo il raw in ACR ho usato un filtro GND solo sulla parte alta. Non ho voluto esagerare (ah, i giovani...!) perché la regola canonica dice che più una cosa è lontana più è chiara.
E' così anche nella realtà e serve anche in questo caso a dare profondità e tridimensionalità all'immagine.
Ed infatti per accentuare l'attenzione maggiormente sul lago ho applicato sulla parte bassa e solo qui, escludendo le Pale ed il cielo, una maschera di contrasto aggiuntiva ed ho anche scurito il lago e il terreno. Il risultato ottenuto è un miglioramento della realtà ma senza grossi stravolgimenti.
Mi fa piacere che la compo sia buona: avevo provato anche un formato 16:10 che tagliava un pelo sotto e sopra ma ho optato per lo scatto senza crop perché è più arioso e... rilassante.
Quanto alla dislocazione del lago: è in posizione leggermente incassata e perciò sia all'alba ma soprattutto al tramonto finisce inevitabilmente in ombra. Solo le Pale saranno illuminate e bello brillante sarà il loro riflesso sull'acqua (semprechè non ci sia la brezza come in questa caso) ma tutto il contorno sarà scurissimo, nero. Non ideale.
Allora bisogna apprezzarlo nelle ore di metà pomeriggio quando le Pale non sono più in controluce ed il lago non è ancora ombreggiato dalla dorsale di Cima Bocche.
Detto questo, il posto è magnifico e merita sicuramente una escursione.

A proposito del luogo, non sono mai stato a questo lago, ma avevo pensato di andarci durante una delle mie ultime uscite dolomitiche, però poi son stato scoraggiato dal fatto che mi sembrava di aver capito che non andava bene ne da alba ne da tramonto, in quanto le pale rimanevano abbastanza in ombra, ma vedendo questa immagine secondo me la luce dovrebbero prenderla... adesso non so in quale periodo dell'anno ricevono meglio luce in quella posizione, ma secondo me per il tramonto il luogo non è male ;) Forse rimane un pò chiuso, ma cmq sembra interessante |
