Le mattine invernali sulle coste della Florida offrono ottime possibilità fotografiche per questi limicoli, in particolare nelle mattine di sole. Come molti animali selvatici in U.S.A., sono molto confidenti, è stato divertente svegliarsi all'alba, scuotersi di dosso la rugiada raccolta uscendo dalla tenda e scaldandosi al sole, assistere all'inizio delle attività alimentari di questi soggetti, compresi i simpaticissimi piovanelli pancianera ed i più rari voltapietre.
