con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/800 f/8.0, ISO 125, hand held. Yellowstone National Park, United States. Specie: Canis latrans

(mano libera) Un saluto a tutti, Ale

Thanks Xavier, Riki and Mat. In fact it was really exciting to see her hunt for half an hour, and often a few meters from us. Greetings, Alex

Beautiful image and great description. You have frozen the movement very well. I like a visual a bit 'wider because better contextualizes the subject within its environment, also you could also include a shadow on the snow!

Thanks Mark and Aleforest!
Yes, thank you for noticing the shadow. :-) I preferred this to the other for that too. Obviously, also for the time of the jump. You do not always have jumped so high, in fact, say that 80% of the time it is "only" got up on his hind legs and then sink the shot or made smaller jumps and long rather than at the top. Therefore, the ability to have a good view were few. It also takes a bit of factor C! :-D

Beautiful, and a hunting scene that I had seen in documentaries, see it live to be beautiful. Great detachment and shadow, beautiful image.
