Somewhere in the Northern fjords of Iceland. Certainly a view I could easily get used to....

Great beautiful scenery, but personally those clouds so low and gray I find little photogenic ...

I agree with Gianmarco ... "Slipping" all along the diagonal left, to have a little more grass, clouds and a little less, it would be memorable ...! So it's just ... Strepitosa ...! wow wow! What a wonder ....

Ah! I would give them a week to sit ....
Maybe in fact the clouds seem too dark compared to the rest of the scene ...

Everyone,

Thank you for your very kind comments and taking the time to view my photos! I appreciate the critical feedback as well, this is what drives me to improve. I too wish there was a bit more room, to the left of the house, unfortunately, there was another structure which was in quite close proximity to the one in the image. To me it did not align with the image I had mentally formed for the scene. A bit more open space would have been nice. Thanks again!

Best regards,
Robert

nice, I've been to Iceland and return your photo well the atmosphere of amazing light in which it is often immersed.

I am struck by the performance and readability of colors from black to white house parts of the sky, I wanted to ask about the present diffuse light, the sensor of the DF or the post?

Hello Sigismondi,

Thank you for your kind comment, about my image. A few items to discuss; the sensor on the Df is incredible! It is the same engine as the D4, and the dynamic range is quite expanded from my D700. With the Df, there is very little Post work I perform. For post work I use Adobe Light Room 5.6; usually I adjust the sharpness, a little, because I always shoot in RAW, the crop, and the tone curve. That is about it. Nikon's D-Lighting does a really nice job with the shadow areas, but if needed I may adjust these too, if required. I used a tripod for this image and a Lee 2 stop, soft edge, split neutral density filter. As you know, the light in Iceland can change quickly and it is often quite contrasty.

Best regards,
Robert
