I fuochi d'artificio si fotografano in posa B. A otturatore aperto si antepone all'obbiettivo un cartone scuro e si attende il "fuoco", quando parte, si toglie il cartone, si lascia spegnere il "fuoco" e si riposiziona il cartone. Tutto ciò due o tre o più volte poi si chiude il diaframma e si ricomincia per una nuova foto, se c'è la possibilità di inquadrare anche qualche soggetto,un ponte, un campanile ecc. e non solo il cielo nero, tanto meglio.
