#BiancoeNero #Rovine Castello documentato fin dal 900, che appartenne ai Calboli e conosciuto con il nome di Castrum novi. Passò poi in proprietà ai signori di Castrocaro e nel 1141 alla Chiesa Ravennate, per ritornare poi dopo alterne vicissitudini ai De Calboli nel 1264. Riacquistato dalla chiesa di Ravenna nel 1234 passò poi nel 1350 agli Ordelaffi che fortificarono il sito e vi fecero costruire la torre. La chiesa riuscì a reimpossessarsi del castello nel 1362 ad opera del cardinale Egidio Albornoz. I secoli successivi videro la dominazione dei Malatesta, dei Manfredi, degli Iseo, di Caterina Sforza e dei Veneziani che lo detennero fino al 1509. Tornato alla Santa Sede, venne infine concesso in feudo agli Iseo, agli Aldrobandini e per ultimi ai Doria Pamphilj. Dell'antico nucleo restano imponenti ruderi della torre, posta in posizione dominante e strategica in cima al colle a cavallo fra le valli del Bidente e del Voltre; dalla sommità del colle sul quale svetta la torre è possibile controllare entrambe le vallate con sguardo che spazia fino al mare. Ben visibili i vicini castelli di Teodorano, Meldola e Rocca delle Caminate.
