il 21 maggio Savona è stata tappa del Giro d'italia. Per l'occasione la "Torretta", simbolo della città e dedicata al navigatore Leon Pancaldo (prese parte alla prima circumnavigazione del globo con Magellano), è stata illuminata di rosa.
