wow wow! the caterpillar is impeccable, among other things, is the first time I see him. I though I imagine a wider wire with the oval at the base of the leaf and the three vertical lines, perhaps taking several shots FS. What do you think? hello good day Roberto

I like to color, sharpness, technique used ..... honestly I'm not convinced the burnt leaf to the left and you wonder ... I wonder if it would be possible to change the composition by moving to the left and so have the caterpillar in perfect parallel and aligned with the sprig? ...:-P:-P:-P

is a Zerynthia ... depending on where it was taken or can be Zerynthia polyxena or Zerynthia cassandra. generally those that are located south of the River Po are attributed to the species as cassandra north of the Po to polyxena. For the rest are indistinguishable and to recognize the need to do 'examination of the genitalia .. so impossible for us photographers. Let us entrust ourselves only to the geographical distribution ;-)

Thank you all for the comments!

. Based on where it was taken or can be Zerynthia polyxena or Zerynthia cassandra

then it is Zerynthia polyxena in that area if they are many :-) Thank you both for the ID!

I though I imagine a wider wire with the oval at the base of the leaf and the three vertical lines, perhaps taking several shots FS. What do you think?

could have been a good composition :-)

I wonder and I wonder if it would be possible to change the composition and moving to the left in order to have the caterpillar in perfect parallel and aligned with the sprig?

was not feasible because the caterpillar was a bit 'twisted', and also by changing the angle was never perfectly parallel.

Complimenti.
Ciao;-)

Subject fascinating and very nice, as I have explained that the pose that has taken the caterpillar you've managed to pull it off the best you could.

Quoto Roberto regarding the composition and then I used a small panel on the right to better balance the light

CIAO

Centrality broken by dynamism in the pose of the caterpillar, share and vertical compositional choice, the caterpillar had to be the center of attention.

HELLO

Personally I would offset the exposure to mitigate the most light on the left and at the same time with a diffuser panel attenuated the shadows to the right, or a hit of filling.

Bella foto.

IMHO;-)

Beautiful photo.
However, if I can make a note, I would be a little more back taking a greater portion of the plant settling the subject better.

IMHO ;-)

Ciao Juza,
Sorriso
Complimenti e saluti,
Paolo

Hello Juza,
beautiful colors and sharpness! :-P
It 'clear that everyone could implement its own "variant" but it is very beautiful! ;-)
Your ability to take action in PP, then, is truly enviable, and for me that I do not understand anything, even unattainable ...! :-)
Congratulations and greetings,
Paul
