PALMA CYCA REVOLUTA-La pianta, scoperta alla fine del Settecento, è nativa del Giappone meridionale. Fu messa per la prima volta a dimora in Europa nel 1793, presso l'Orto botanico di Palermo. Cresce ottimalmente in terreni sabbiosi, ben drenati, in aree con estati molto calde (temperature medie di 30- 35 °C) ma tollera anche climi con temperature più basse. A Tenerife è molto diffusa nei giardini.

Grazie Nerone, sono contenta del tuo intervento: questa foto è il risultato di una lunga ricerca di una foto bella di questa pianta che a me piace.
Dopo moltissimi, inutili scatti me la sono ritrovata quasi sotto casa e per paura di perdere la bella luce ho preso la bici e ho fatto una corsa affannata per arrivare in tempo a immortalarla. Con la digitale la luce è così traditrice!
Davvero non credevo di me che sarei arrivata a tal punto per una fotografia...
