Un animale non certo comune, questo povero Viverride è stato a lungo cacciato per la sua ghiandola con la quale si produceva un profumo, lo Zibetto appunto. Ottimo documento!

Molto bella !
In realtà non è un animale rarissimo ma visto che, oltre ad essere eusivo, ha abitudini esclusivamente non si vede praticamente mai a meno di poter fare un safari notturno ed anche in quel caso, in tutti i modi, non è certo facile vederla...

Grazie a tutti per i commenti. In effetti io avevo visto questa specie una sola volta in Etiopia al Parco Awash, ma ci aveva traversato di corsa davanti alla macchina e niente più. Questa invece si è fatta una passeggiatina alla luce dello spotlight e ci ha dato la possibilità di tentare la fotografia. Ha ragione Memy, rara non è, notturna si.
