Tra tutti gli incontri e tra tutte le situazioni interessanti che abbiamo incontrato durante il nostro viaggio in Etiopia, quello che mi ha emozionato di più è stato quando, durante un trasferimento, abbiamo incontrato centinaia di capi disseminati lungo il greto di un fiume completamente secco. Mentre ci avvicinavamo alla zona stavo raccontando come saremmo arrivati in un posto dove, nel viaggio precedente avevo assistito ad una scena a dir poco fantastica con una mandria, condotta da 2 pastori nudi, che avanzava sollevando un enorme nuvola di polvere......... Ritrovare la stessa situazione dopo 3 anni è stata davvero una grandissima sorpresa!! Lungo la lingua di sabbia ogni pastore Hamer avevano scavato il pozzo da cui, proprio mentre c'eravamo noi, estraeva l' acqua con cui abbeverava i suoi animali; centinaia o meglio migliaia di capi divisi in mandrie di qualche decina di unità o poco più. La luce che si stava facendo via via sempre più forte e le nuvole di polvere sollevate dagli animali contribuivano a rendere il tutto ancora più affascinante.. Etiopia Gennaio 2014
