La Testuggine comune o di Hermann (Testudo hermanni) è una delle due specie di testuggini autoctone italiane (l'altra è la Testuggine palustre). E' tipica degli ambienti mediterranei, caratterizzati da inverni miti ed estati aride con temperature elevate. Minacciata di estinzione soprattutto a causa di fattori antropici, è stata inserita nella Lista Rossa della IUCN. Esemplare libero ripreso nel suo ambiente naturale.
