La teoria che molte persone credano che i bianchi siano come la peste e tutte le zone 10 debbano essere "corrette" in zone 9/8 è una teoria distorta nata contemporaneamente al sistema zonale. Non dimentichiamo in oltre, che le mie foto non vengono vendute singolarmente, quindi una foto deve essere sempre giudicata in un contesto più ampio. E' decisamente tollerabile se in un paio di foto il vestito risulta parzialmente bruciato se grossomodo nella totalità delle altre è ben definito. Evidenzierei anche una grandissima differenza tra una "bruciaura" di vestito che ne fa scomparire la forma poichè anche il fondo è altrettanto bruciato (sarebbe grave), ed una bruciatura con contorni ben delineati dove l'unica deficienza è una parziale assenza di dettaglio.
Andare a sottoesporre tutta la scena per poi dover affrontare dei problemi di rumore nelle ombre lo trovo spesso altrettanto sconveniente e non risolutivo (purtroppo per scendere da una zona over10 ad una 8 spesso non bastano 4 stop di sottoesposizione e con alcuni sensori nemmeno 5), fare una doppia esposizione non è sempre possibile vista la dinamica delle riprese quindi la coperta troppo corta va tirata un po di qua e un po di la contestualizzando gli interventi in una visione di album completo.
Le mie deduzioni nascono solo grazie alla mia esperienza sul campo non da paragrafi letterari assimilati per sentito dire, ogni fotografo avrà la propria esperienza da condividere, io rispondo solo per le mie interpretazioni visive, il mio genere di lavoro ed ovviamente il mio grado di soddisfazione.
P.S. in questa foto non ho fatto uso di flash ma solo di un pannello riflettente. I vestiti sono raramente bianchi puri ma spesso hanno infinite dominanti visibili in condizioni particolari, riprodurre determinate sfumature di avorio o rosa è praticamente impossibile, per sceglierle le spose escono dalla sartoria ed iniziano a far oscillare i tessuti tra ombra e sole per riconoscerne delle differenze uno con l'altro, quando chiedo la tonalità che avrà il vestito iniziano a sparare nomi di frutti e verdure e alla fine desistendo dicono: "poi lo vedrai". Di solito faccio una bella foto al vestito prima che lo indossino o di un bel particolare che risponda più fedelmente possibile alle tonalità reali e poi diciamo pure che di questa sfumatura di avorio o rosa me ne frega il giusto. Comprano un album di ricordi non di riproduzioni scientifiche e in venti anni non si è mai lamentato nessuno e poi di solito il vestito lo conservano nello stesso armadio dell'album, e le foto col tempo, si ingialliranno decisamente meno di quello che farà il vestito :-)
