Molto bello il dettaglio, avrei preferito una compo un pò più larga, gusto personale, ma leggo dalla descrizione che è stata proprio una scelta voluta.
Sullo sfondo vedo degli artefatti, magari dovuti alla compressione web. Personalmente avrei usato un pò meno sharpen in pp, lo si nota troppo sul soggetto. 
Very nice detail, I would have preferred a slightly larger components, personal taste, but I read in the description that it was really a conscious choice.
In the background I see artifacts, possibly due to web compression. A mio parere la avrei vista meglio orizzontale, un pelo inclinata. Per il resto a me piace moltissimo.

nonostanmte sia scassata, è un bellissismo esemplare bello colorato.
la vedrei anche io, più "angolata" la composizione.
il mio monitor è molto poco attendibile ma trovo ci sia una maschera eccessiva, potrei sbagliarmi.

Vada per ridurre lo sharpen ma la sensazione che hai descritto a me è arrivata.
Spesso le chiavi di lettura degli scatti devono venire prima della tecnica che comunque rimane importantissima in macrofotografia.
Il freddo è percepito bene!

Una bella immagine. Concordo per lo sharpen, che tra l'altro tende ad alzare le alte luci sopratutto i bianchi delle goccioline. Ciao
