Questa statua, raffigurante l'indimenticato pilota Ayrton Senna, è collocata all'interno del parco delle Acque Minerali di Imola nei pressi dove, il 1° Maggio 1994, il pilota ebbe l'incidente fatale (curva del Tamburello, adesso variante). La statua, opera di Stefano Pierotti, è in bronzo e poggia su un blocco di marmo grigio e durante l'anno, è sempre meta di pellegrinaggio: non mancano mai i fiori freschi e un vessillo brasiliano (a volte a coprirgli le spalle). Mi ha colpito la "doppia" personalità della statua... il lato sinistro (quello della foto) è quello più drammatico dove il volto appare cupo mentre osservandola dal lato destro l'espressione non è più così severa e sembra che abbozzi un sorriso.
