In effetti, documentandomi, sembra proprio che questo comportamento sia da identificare come un dono che avviene quando la femmina comincia a deporre le uova.
Ho altre foto di questa scena che magari posterò nei prossimi giorni per documentare l'intera sequenza dello scambio.

È sicuramente un dono che fa parte del corteggiamento e che si ripete quando i piccoli sono nati, in genere è il maschio che si occupa cella caccia, porta poi le prede alla femmina che provvede a sminuzzarle e darle ai piccoli.
