La Confraternita del SS. Crocifisso di Pergusa (Enna), fu fondata nell'Anno del Signore 1973 dai "Lacari", (abitanti di Pergusa - frazione di Enna) uomini di grande fede verso il Signore, figli di coloro che tempo addietro diedero origine all'antica festa do' "Signuruzzu du lacu". Essi spinti dal desiderio di partecipare ai riti della Settimana Santa Ennese e dalla voglia di continuare la testimonianza di fede dei propri padri, ripresero la tradizione dell' antica festa che si conclude, ancor oggi, con la suggestiva traversata del Fercolo del SS. Crocifisso sulle acque del lago di Pergusa e la loro benedizione. Singolare il vestiario, composto da un camice bianco con vistoso colletto a punta e maniche a svasare con orli gialli, toga in raso rosso scuro lungo quanto il camice, fascia blu con risvolti a frange pendenti dal lato sinistro, un artistico crocifisso di ferro (forgiato e battuto a mano da un confrate) che pende dal collo, sorretto da un cordoncino bianco di cotone, un copricapo di colore bianco a cono (indossato solo la settimana santa) sostituito per tutte le altre occasioni, da un fez di colore bordeaux in velluto granato, dai guanti bianchi, pantaloni neri, calze e scarpe di colore nero. Ciò che rende unica tra le confraternite del collegio dei rettori di Enna di cui fa parte la Confraternita del SS. Crocifisso di Pergusa, è l'originale cappuccio rigido, in panno, di forma conica, che riproduce in ogni particolare quelli usati dalle "Cofradias" spagnole, inoltre è l'unica, fra le Confraternite presenti nel territorio, a non utilizzare la mantella coprispalle. Il Rettore (il responsabile della Confraternita), è riconoscibile durante le processioni dalla toga terminante a punta avente banda blu verticale e dal particolare arredo sacro costituito da un'asta di colore nero sulla quale sommità è scolpito il mondo sormontato da una croce.
