ho scattato questa foto nel sito archeologico di petra, in giordania, la scorsa estate. esso si trova in un canyon nel sud del paese ed è costituito di pietra arenaria. quello che mostra questa foto è una costruzione ricavata nella roccia policroma prodotta dalla sedimentazione e dall'accumulo di piccoli granelli di sabbia. gli abitanti di questa zona hanno scavato i fianchi di quelle montagne ricavandone abitazioni, tombe, magazzini, ecc.
petra è una delle sette meraviglie del mondo antico. consiglio a chiunque un viaggio in quei luoghi :) sono stupendi.
