Saluti! ;-)

Very nice, I see a lot of noise, perhaps to retrieve a sub exposure?
A 400 iso should not be so 'obvious ...
Greetings! ;-)

With your goal you get sharper images by stopping down to f / 7.1 ... even better at f / 8.
For static subjects is best to use spot AF (AF expansion is good for the shots on the fly) and the point that you need to focus on is exclusively the eye.
Press the third button in the upper right you will see in the viewfinder of the 19 points with the joystick maf and you can choose the most useful point to a better composition.

The noise is too obvious, also the subject is blurry. As already suggested you Luigi, with the 100-400 is better to close the aperture to f / 8 when using the maximum focal and remember to focus on the eye ;-)

ciao Max,
Alessandro

Hello Max,
at the end you did with the wren.
For the background noise can be easily remedied, and 'difficult to focus with precision for speed' of the subject and the presence of branches around, it's gonna 'do better next time
Alessandro

ciao Massimo
bella ambientazione e colori. secondo me a 400mm e f/5,6 hai preteso troppo dal pompone.
comunque complimenti e alla prossima
Fabio

hello Maximum
beautiful setting and colors. I think a 400mm f / 5,6 have demanded too much of POMPONE.
however compliments and the next
Fabio

hello, thank you all for your comments and the "tip" of use, I was so glad I caught the baby, so close and the branches in the form of picture, I wanted to share the photos, the day was sunny, but in the brambles was quite dark, I tried to touch the light and I think I have made as much noise as well ... thanks again to all and thanks for the advice ... the road is still long ... see you soon

The 7d for me has a very annoying noise also to take off and just really POSCO xchè is present,
however to 400mm and f5, 6 the POMPONE not a blade ... patience, however, the setting is very nice.
