Posto questo scatto senza alcuna ambizione, ma solo come documento, per raccontarvi una giornata che probabilmente entrerà nella storia dell'ornitologia. Per chi non lo sapesse, la regione Liguria è uno dei luoghi migliori d'Italia per poter osservare la migrazione del Biancone (e non solo), uccello rapace che, pur essendo stato perseguitato per diversi anni fino a non molto tempo fa, ora è in netta crescita su tutto il territorio europeo. Ogni anno è dunque possibile ammirare nell'entroterra ligure centinaia di bianconi (di ritorno dal continente africano) in un lasso di tempo piuttosto ristretto, di solito dalle 2 alle 3 settimane al massimo. La foto in questione è stata scattata il 19 Marzo 2014, giorno in cui sono stati censiti più di 1500 bianconi in meno di 12 ore (evento più che memorabile)... uno spettacolo affascinante, gruppi di 30/40 bianconi che volteggiavano aspettando la termica giusta o altri ancora che passavano con velocità incredibili a quote altrettanto impressionanti. In alcuni momenti non si sapeva davvero dove guardare, gli stessi ornitologi o appassionati con anni di esperienza alle spalle faticavano a contarli (operazione fondamentale per monitorare la popolazione)...io invece speravo che almeno uno scendesse a portata di 400mm e, anche se purtroppo così non è stato, sono veramente felice di aver assistito a un tale spettacolo (che non penso si ripeterà almeno per un bel po' di tempo)...Un saluto a tutti, Fabio #Wild #Fly
