ma la faina era già defunta all'arrivo della poiana?
Ti chiedo questo perchè i musteliti sono piuttosto aggressivi e credo che per una poiana sia abbastanza improbabile riuscire a sopraffare una faina.

I ask this because the musteliti are quite aggressive and I think for a buzzard is quite unlikely to be able to overpower a weasel.

La faina naturalmente morta e trovata sul ciglio della strada e' stata usata come carcassa in un'area dove la poiana abitualmente era in cerca di cibo.
La poiana non riuscirebbe mai ad uccidere una faina, ma si ciba di carogne che trova e cattura piccoli topi.

The stone marten and of course found dead on the roadside and 'was used as a carcass in an area where the buzzard was usually in search of food.
The buzzard never be able to kill a weasel, but it feeds on carrion it finds and captures small mice.
