I bet the focus in the central part, in the heart of the flower as well as yourself picture is confused and not very pleasing to the vision because, in my opinion, you have not highlighted the aspects that make it beautiful. The fact that the sides are in focus, in my opinion, does not make much sense as annoying as I find the inclusion of that piece of petal at the bottom right. If you still have at your disposal the subject might do some other test ;-) Of course mine is just a personal opinion .... and by the way the only critical with respect to all those who have preceded me. The important thing, in the end, is that the photo you like and then from the right weight to my words. ;-) Hello Zman! Ciao Zman! Michela |

Greetings Michela and thank you for your sincere opinion. As for me and what I wanted to show in this shot is the red lines that make a nice curve inside. I am not shooting a flower to show the sharpness . It is an abstract shot. I take your comment very dearly and I appreciate your opinion highly. Hello |

“ As for me and what I wanted to show in this shot is the red lines That Make a nice curves inside „ If this was your intention maybe you could get most of that particular sharpness with a smaller aperture. To emphasize a particular sharpness is still needed on this ... I think you'll agree with me. I also really love to play "artistically" in the macro and flowers with blurred but I do it just to concentrate, with selective focus on a particular one. If you like this genre, let me advise the vision of the beautiful photos of Joseph Guadagno who knows how to combine technique and artistic expression in a wonderful way: I call it "the Master." :-D Thank you very much for this exchange of views and for your willingness to discussI appreciate that very much. Best wishes! :-P Michela
PS: the flower you photographed is not an Iris but orchid species Phalaenopsis ;-) " As for me and what I wanted to show in this shot is the red lines that make a nice curve inside" Se questa era la tua intenzione forse potevi ottenere maggior nitidezza di quel particolare con un diaframma più chiuso.

Greetings Michela. This is the beauty of exchanging ideas. I always consider myself an amateur and a student and I agree with your opinion and thank you for your explanation. At my age I sometimes forget my wife's name and call her Honey and again I missed the name of the flower. Yes it is an orchid. Thank you. |
