Sta facendo il bagno dopo il pasto, per pulire il becco e le zampe dai resti del muggine particolarmente appiccicosi.
Per rimuovere le squame mette il becco in acqua e lo sfrega nella sabbia, e poi lo pulisce con le zampe, ficca la testa in acqua e poi si squote vorticosamente.
L'effetto delle piume è dovuto al vento, che arrivava da dietro, infatti alcuni scatti di oggi sono da scartare perchè ritratto di coda o leggermente con la testa in ombra infatti il falco si rivolge sempre verso la direzione del vento, pronto a prendere il volo.
