Ciao, Gigi.

Thanks for the ride Gazebo. Concretions are on the side of the volcano Dallol Ethiopia in the north to the border with Eritrea in the Danakil Depression. This vast desolate area is known for its curious geological formations: acidic hot springs, mountains of sulfur, cones of salt, small gas geysers, pools of acid isolated by frames of salt crystals and concretions, from evaporation, sulfur, chloride magnesium or sodium solidified. All on a white background, yellow, green or red ocher colors given by the strong presence sulfur, iron oxide, and various other minerals.
The site, like many other volcanoes in the area is the result of removal of the Arabian plate from the African plate with the creation, in perspective, of a new seabed extending from the Red Sea.
In the Afar language, "Dallol" means "dissolved" in REFEREnto the many sources acidic and often become death traps for animals and humans. In the gallery you can see three photos Danakil 1 in this regard. Hello, Gigi.

congratulations again, you could add the 'hashag #geomorfologia are really an important testimony to the beauty of geomorphological forms (perhaps my professional bias is bad I find really interesting)

Hello Mau1948, if you tell me how do you insert the 'hashtag Geomorphology (maybe I'm drowning in a glass of water) the insert. Greetings and thanks for everything.
