RELITTO DEL THISTLEGORM Il relitto del Thistegorm è uno dei siti di immersione più visitati al mondo. Il Thistlegorm era una nave da trasporto inglese. Durante il secondo conflitto mondiale fu affondata nello stretto di Gubal mentre trasportava materiale bellico destinato alla VIII armata inglese stanziata in Egitto. Fu affondata, nella notte tra il 5 ed il 6 Ottobre 1941, da due bombardieri tedeschi. La nave fu colpita in corrispondenza della stiva di poppa dove si trovava il deposito delle munizioni. Il Thistlegorm trasportava munizioni di diverso tipo, motociclette, autocarri, parti di ricambio per aerei e per autoveicoli. Vi erano anche due carri armati leggeri, del tipo Universal Carrier MK II, e due locomotive a vapore ( Stainer 8F) con i relativi vagoni.
