Il paese di Sperlinga è famoso per le sue grotte abitate. Questi piccoli antri di circa 2x3 mt in cui vivevano le famiglie più povere furono abitati fino al 1985 quando l'ultimo insediamento li lasciò. Attualmente essi per la maggior parte sono chiusi e di proprietà delle famiglie che vi hanno vissuto. Quelli che io ho potuto fotografare sono stati acquistati dal Comune che ne ha fatto ..giustamente un'attrazione turistica valorizzandone la tradizione antropologica e culturale che questi insediamenti rappresentano... Qui ho voluto raffigurare proprio l'interno di una queste case un pò "speciali"
