at 250mm, 1/250 f/5.6, ISO 400, Specie: Alcedo atthis

Nice shot, although with the crop and the distance to the subject you lose a lot.
Now that you know where you will need to try to get used to your presence without disturbing
too because it is important that the martino, like every living being has the
own spaces and habits.
Greetings
Maximum

I hope so too, for me it was really a surprise to find him there, partly because the place is unfortunately rather battered and dirty :-(

You do not have the ability to put a nice perch at a point close to where you can lie in wait for you?
When Martino sees you most likely rests ........
Obviously you have to put in so that the perch he can dive in the creek ........ ;-) ;-)

hello, congratulations martin .. the first is like "utime love" .. never be forgotten ..
Now that you've found it .. Stay with him, it's pretty routine, rests and fishing "almost always" in the same spot, so with a little patience and a lot of observing, understanding and be able to place yourself in the best place to take it back .. by force and let us know how it goes ..
in beak to martin ...
PS .. do what you said bern, is a wise advice ..

Obviously you have to put in so that the perch he could plunge into the creek.

Quoto system the roost in 3-4 feet of you and camouflaged, (blind, camouflage netting, camouflage cloth) less you see the better.

Hello, I think that "the first martino" everyone was more or less well 8-)
For the roost, slips into the ground a fishing rod holders and put a branch, possibly aesthetic (eg, rich moss or lichen green / yellow). Place the branch where you see often go martin ... will not take long to rest ;-)

I suggest you create a sort of gate just to get used to them and there is something I agree with putting some sort of perch a cane or a nice branch at 45 degrees to the water and you'll see that it will use 'for fishing, get him Fogliata a network and try to be the most 'immobile as possible, you'll be able to portray that to the fullest!
Regards Andrew.
