Li Puma veniva freddamente atterrato da due briganti della banda di Dino, banda che vive grazie alla complicità dei baroni che le assicurano ospitalità, sussistenza, protezione. Niente giustifica l'efferato delitto. Li Puma, padre di nove figli, contadino poverissimo aveva trascorso tutta la sua esistenza lavorando la terra, dirigendo la lega contadina di Petralia, organizzando la cooperativa "La Madre terra" che da tre anni è in lotta con i signori feudali per il possesso meno precario della terra, per più umane condizioni di esistenza. Dal Marchese proprietario , al campiere che indica ai banditi la vittima perché non sbaglino, ai sicari rotti ad ogni delitto la catena è limpida. Ma la polizia come già per altre decine di contadini capilega trucidati in questi ultimi mesi non vuole scoprire i mandanti e archivia le pratiche. Lo spaventoso è che le autorità hanno rinunziato persino ad andare in fondo e a scoprire chi sono stati gli assassini dell'avv. Campo, vicesegretario regionale della democrazia cristiana ucciso mentre in macchina si recava da Alcamo, in provincia di Trapani, ad Agrigento. Scelba ha mandato giù un suo ispettore centrale; ma questi dopo poche ore di permanenza a Palermo, ha fatto ritorno a Roma senza aver concluso nulla. La democrazia cristiana non ha interesse a scoprire gli assassini dell'avv. Campo, perché come si ammette dall'opinione pubblica siciliana, specialmente da quegli strati che più sono qualificati per esprimere opinioni e giudizi, su tali misfatti, dovrebbe scoprire i suoi legami con quelle organizzazioni criminose che vanno sotto il generico nome di mafia. #Cute #Tenerezza
