Silent spectators sent on February 24, 2014 (13:29) by Gianmarco Schena. 57 comments, 4558 views.

, 30 sec f/4.0, ISO 2000, tripod.

Always fascinating your images, Gianmarco, this seems to me more than the last faint as visual impact because the first floor is not as exciting as in the other. I find this very first floor in the shade, if the purpose was to highlight the phenomenon with clouds and fog lights (which I find beautiful) to me you have a little bit hidden, I find uninteresting the left, maybe one step forward and begin removing spruce up the frame of the left (if they can, of course). I see a lot of noise which always left in the snow in the foreground, perhaps for the compression for the web.

Hello thank you very much Massimo Passage

Noise: this is the best I could do-I am not able to remove the noise without smoothing all, this is 2000, and the 640 is just not me well. I do not think the 5D2 because I see it done well on the forum. I am the problem
Close up uninteresting and dark: consider that it is night, there is a half moon behind a blanket of clouds, there is not much light, I would overexpose potutto but I do not like it because then it does not seem more night. for the shot I made from a hill with only the under side of the valley covered. I left it this way because I intended to guide the eye from left to right with the progression of light.

really thanks for the opinion expressed

But you also have the noise in the original or only what you see now on the web?
I do not know any better, I assure you, however, I noticed (and read, I believe, but now come blatant denials) that in long exposures if there is a very homogeneous with respect to the noise level increases with more parts " variants "(do not know if I can explain what I mean, I do not know what other term to use:-D).
" for the shot I made from a hill with only the under side of the valley deck " I've taken (nay, increased) curiosity, look to see it published:-D:-D ...

Hello Gianmarco, photos that would divide into two parts ... nice and good-looking, right side, while the left I find it a bit "empty" ... quoto Massimo regard to the noise ;-)

this is the best I could do-I am not able to remove the noise without smoothing everything

and then you have to study more, I learn the luminosity mask to remove the noise and you 0k?
the night is silent ... do not make too much noise! ;-)

I left it this way because I intended to guide the eye from left to right with the progression of light.

most just your intent, but I think the odd numbers in the photo are always the most effective, and I think you would have got the same your purpose even excluding the frame over the tree on the left.

The atmosphere that you were able to capture is really deadly and for me this is the most important thingyou ... the technique is just a perfect side dish for Your delicious dishes
compliments
When I come out from you, we need to bring me here! Wow wow wow!

Thank you very much Marco noted ..

Simon: I see you've found an alternative method to image shack, bravo. I have to say that I thought about it till the end if cropparla as you did and then I did differently. ok I remember the next odd. Thanks for the comment on the atmosphere ... well except me:-D PS: 15km from home and really easy half-hour walk without snow ... but it is full of different mountain pines, but the place is, however,

hello and thank you to all

I personally think that the only problem that the shot is in PP and in particular in noise reduction. I like how you framed and in particular the distribution of the dark part on the left and on the right clear that in fact reflect the reality that you live in certain situations with extremes of details, in this case shadow / light.
