Good composition. In many areas the whites are without detail. In these cases, the only solution is to set spot metering, need to underexpose (white person) and diaphragm do not overdo it to get a faster shutter speed and remove the blur that takes too detail. I am sure that next time you will be more responsive ;-) hello, laurel

ciao

I like the attempt to estimate, if I can advice, pp you can reduce the excessive brightness, as far as shooting 1/320 and too little to ride an animal in a minimum 1/1000 if you want to stop the volatile
hello

(come spesso mi capita)

Hello Thanks again as already mentioned for the first that I was on a moving boat and also I was not really in perfect balance gulls were so close for a moment and then I did not think too much and I took! (As often happens to me)

ciao, lauro

The suggestions, the notes are there to improve and become more responsive in the next scene dynamics that will occur. Do you have a signara aps-C which is well equipped with 2 adjustment wheels, if you think about it pro-activity that surely will develop in the future would allow you to act on the wheel aperture priority (from F.14 to f.7, f.8-1) and in a fraction of a second (or better yet instinctively thought-action) would open the aperture allowing at least better to freeze the subject and to counteract the movement of the boat. Assigned to programs such as semi-automatic Aperture priority and / or timing. We usually advice to the diaphragm because it is we who have to decide the degree of nititezza and depth of field, if the shutter speed will be even borderline is perhaps appropriate to use the iso conservativreasonable default. ;-)

Lauro You know what's the problem? It is the not knowing what is best to do, but the moment to do so. At other times, maybe slightly calmer with wheels and how we play, so much so that sometimes I'm afraid of ruining them. But there was a moment (which I had) to make me lose my concentration (certainly the view that introns had stunned me even though I already knew). It will be for the next.

ps I just posted the third gull (I'd forgotten) looks a bit 'data of the photo? :-D
