What method do you use? What software? With Photoshop I make two layoffs, the first step harbor the image at twice the final size (in my case the longer side then do 900 1800) and step unsharp mask (radius 0.5 factor is not more than 100-120 but you see because if it is too artifacts appear). Second step harbor image to definitive measure (900) still sharpen (halve the radius and lowered if it serves the factor factor). Now the image is ready: you can make saving for web, or as I do, give it 'by hand' the sRGB profile and save as jpeg. Do not use Save for Web because in the past has given me problems artifacts, I prefer to set the color profile. I hope I do not have you confused ideas .. The shot does not seem so bad. Hello. ;-)
Ciao.
