A me piacciono anche le foto "cartolina" 
Avrei cercato però un taglio diverso, portando la linea dell'orizzonte un po' fuori dal centro. Dal momento che la parte inferiore della foto tende al nero l'avrei tagliata, inquadrando più cielo o adottando un taglio diverso tipo 16:9.

I also like the photo "postcard" :-)
But I would try a different cut, bringing the horizon line a bit 'out of the center. Since the bottom of the picture tends to black I would cut, framing the sky more or taking a different slant type 16:9.

io avrei preferito un due terzi di acqua. Il taglio a specchio sarebbe piacevole se in qualche modo si enfatizzasse... non lo trovo particolarmente azzeccato. In ogni caso è un bellissimo tramonto ma la foto... non capisco... non ha nulla che attragga l'attenzione. Se invece dai un dominio di acqua (o cielo) già indirizzi l'osservatore verso il tuo punto di vista e gli offri un'interpretazione: Guarda che bell'acqua/che bel cielo! Ah, il sole, che è il soggetto principale, te l'ho posto nel punto forte destro/sinistro! :) ecco, in questo caso avresti fatto una foto un po' banalmente rientrante nella regola dei terzi ma sicuramente più apprezzabile... questa è la mia modesta opinione ma... concludo dicendo che io non sarei stato capace!

If the domain of water (or air) already addresses the viewer toward your point of view and offered an interpretation: Look at that beautiful water / that beautiful sky! la prossima volta tenterò, ho cercato di mettere in evidenza l'effetto specchio dell'acqua piatta e calma, ma a quanto pare non ci sono riuscito!
