Scatto all'interno del "Karni Mata Temple" o meglio conosciuto come il "Tempio dei Topi" a Bikaner India. Il tempio è uno dei più originali santuari di tutta l'India, infatti al suo interno ospita una "nutrita" colonia di topi che vengono venerati e trattati come degli dei. Infatti è tradizione locale, pensare che questi simpatici animaletti siano l'incarnazione della Dea-Madre, adorata sia dagli indù che dalle popolazioni del deserto. L'edificio che ospita il tempio è quasi orrendo e privo di interesse artistico/architettonico, all'interno, come del resto tutti i santuari indiani, c'è una sala dove si prega e si portano offerte alla Dea, nel cortile interno, ci sono diverse ciotole dove inservienti provvedono a versare latte per i divini topini. Anche in questo luogo, è obbligatorio entrare a piedi nudi (io ho ovviato infilandomi delle buste di plastica portate dall'Italia proprio per questo scopo) e si crede che se un topo bianco (in India è impossibile trovare qualsiasi cosa di coloro bianco) vi passa sopra un piede sarete baciati dalla fortuna, diversamente se per caso ne acciaccate uno, sfiga a secchiate.
