L'ho preso per le situazione con sole basso sull'orizzonte del mare, ma secondo me sarebbe perfetto con la gradazione non esattamente al centro come invece è... Così non è sfruttabile al 100%... e, come hai detto te, costa davvero un mucchio di soldi (oggi non so se rifarei la follia, detto in assoluta sincerità... )

@Andrea, rimanendo in casa Nikon puoi optare per un fisso o per uno zoom. Nel primo caso, tralasciando il 24 1.4, assolutamente eccezionale, ma a parer mio non votato per la foto di paesaggio, potresti pensare a cercare un 20mm usato, AF-D o AF (io ho questa versione): si tratta di un obiettivo dallo schema ottico molto semplice ma decisamente buono e molto adatto ai controluce.
Oppure se hai voglia di spendere puoi prenderti un 21mm Zeiss, che io non conosco per averlo provato, ma del quale si parla in termini entusiastici.
Tra gli zoom ci sono:
- 17-35 f/2.8, il più vecchio del lotto, resa morbida, transizioni tonali graduali, ombre molto leggibili, non nitidissimo agli angoli, a me personalmente non fa impazzire
- 16-35 f/4 VR: il più recente, nitidissimo su tutto il fotogramma già a t.a. e a tutte le focali, resa contrastata e toni ricchi, distorce vistosamente a barilotto (e quindi si corregge facilmente) fino a 18mm circa. L'ho avuto fino a poco tempo fa e lo ritengo un vetro davvero ottimo
- 14-24 f/2.8: il mostro, l'eccellenza, ti basti pensare che molti Canon-user lo montano con adattatore anche se perdono qualche automatismo, vista la qualità pazzesca. Credo di poter dire che attualmente sia il miglior zoom grandangolare per il formato 35mm in commercio...

@ Andrew, staying at home Nikon can opt for a fixed or a zoom. In the first case, ignoring the 24 1.4, absolutely great, but in my opinion not voted for landscape photos, you might think to look for a used 20mm, AF-D or AF (I have this version): This is an objective from optical design very simple but very good and very suitable for backlighting.
Or if you want to spend you can get a Zeiss 21mm, I do not know to have tried it, but of which we speak in glowing terms.
Among the zoom there are:
- 17-35 f/2.8, the oldest of the lot, made soft, gradual tonal transitions, shadows very readable, not razor-sharp corners, I personally not crazy
- 16-35 f / 4 VR: the most recent, razor-sharp throughout the frame already at room temperature and at all focal lengths, and rich tones contrasted yield, blatantly distorts barrel (and thus is easily corrected) up to about 18mm. I've had it up recently and ritengo a really good glass
- 14-24 f/2.8: monster, excellence, you just think that many Canon-mount adapter the user even if they lose some automation, given the quality crazy. I think I can say that now is the best wide-angle zoom for a 35mm camera on the market ... Grazie per gli ultimi interventi !!!

Volendo fare il "pignolo", dal punto di vista della composizione, mi chiedo se mettendo il sole un po' più decentrato (magari nel mezzo della forcella superiore creata dai rami) ed includendo una porzione più piccola del cielo scuro sul lato superiore questa foto, già bellissima, ne avrebbe ulteriormente guadagnato...
