Varenna se non sbaglio... leggendo il titolo però mi sarei aspettato che il libro avesse uno spazio maggiore nel fotogramma, qui secondo me è molto piccolo e si perde nell'inquadratura ampia e non ci si fa caso

Ciao Maurizio, grazie del passaggio e del tempo che hai dedicato a questa foto, cui tengo molto.
Hai ragione in tutto, è Varenna e il libro è nascosto... bisogna cercarlo... lo legge quel signore sul molo. Il fatto è che ho visto quel signore totalmente assorto nella sua lettura, ci sono passato accanto, scendendo dalla scaletta accanto al molo (qui è fuori inquadratura) e il tizio non mi ha degnato di uno sguardo, tanto era assorto nel suo libro.... e così... quella domenica mattina, nel silenzio totale (e nel deserto totale, non c'era in giro nessuno...) ho avuto l'idea, da quel punto, di raccontare in una foto che cosa può essere un libro. Un amico che può farci sognare (il paesaggio che si vede qui sarebbe un po' "il sogno, la fantasia" cui ci si tuffa leggendo un libro).
E' una foto effettivamente difficile, da capire. Direi una foto "da leggere"
Ovviamente in quella situazione il libro era lì, non potevo spostarlo ed enfatizzarlo... Però il fatto che tu ti sia soffermato a cercarlo e a commentare la foto mi ha dato una grande soddisfazione!

Hello Maurizio, thanks to the passage of time and that you have dedicated to this photo, which I treasure.
You are right in everything you Varenna and the book is hidden ... you have to look for it ... the law that man on the pier. The fact is that I saw that man totally absorbed in his reading, I've been there beside him, down the ladder next to the pier (here is out of shot) and the guy I was not bothered to look, he was so engrossed in his book .. and .. well ... that Sunday morning, in total silence (total and in the desert, there was nobody around ...) I got the idea from that point, to tell in a picture what can be a book. A friend who can make us dream (the landscape that you see here would be a bit '"the dream, the fantasy," which he dives reading a book).
It 'a photo actually difficult to will understandand. I would say a picture "to read":-D
Obviously, in that situation the book was there, I could not move it and emphasize it ... But the fact that you had paused to look and comment on the photo gave me a great satisfaction!

Mi piace molto la composizione e l'inquadratura. Per quanto riguarda il libro è chiaro che la foto è allusiva: la piccolezza del libro, che concentra l'attenzione del lettore, e l'immensità del panorama su cui spazia lo sguardo contemplativo del fotografo. Ciao Simone, un saluto da Francesca
