bellissima inquadratura.
(lo dico fuori dai denti: che non ce la faccio più a vedere riprese notturne di Venezia, ne ho letteralmente la nausea! ma..) in questo caso vedo un minimo di sforzo creativo nella composizione dell'immagine (basti su tutto la scelta della focale intermedia) ed anche nelle scelte di esposizione (che non è il solito 30'' f11 iso100, per capirci), e laddove si vede forte la mano del fotografo sicuramente si vede anche il risultato e questo va premiato e sottolineato (anche la "chiusura" realizzata con la doppia cornice rappresenta un elemento di pregio)
non mi soffermo sulla nitidezza, da record, perché non la considero un valore aggiunto all'immagine, mentre avrei voluto non vedere l'arrivo del vaporetto che con la sua scia sporca a mio avviso troppo l'immagine, in un'area invece particolarmente cruciale nella lettura complessiva del testo: mi auguro tu ne abbia realizzata un'altra posa, qualche attimo dopo la ripartenza del battello!

(I say this out of the teeth that can not do more to see night shots of Venice, I have literally sick! But ..) in this case I see a minimum of creative endeavor in the composition of the picture (just about all the choice intermediate focal length) and also in the choices of exposure (which is not the usual 30'' f11 ISO100, so to speak), and where you see the strong hand of the photographer surely you can also see the result and this must be emphasized and rewarded (also "closure" made with the double frame represents an element of merit)
I do not dwell on the sharpness, record, why not consider a value added to the image, while I would not want to see the arrival of the ferry with its wake that dirty in my opinion the image too much, especially in an area instead crucial in the reaing the overall text: I hope you will have made another pose, a few moments after the restart of the boat!

@ Michela: le luci erano difficili, e lo sai bene anche tu, vero! Ma fortunatamente io ho Canon e tu Nikon, quindi a me il problema non si è posto più di tanto!!!  Ahahahahah!!
Scherzi a parte, non era del tutto semplice bilanciare il cielo con quel solito rossiccio delle lampade ai vapori di sodio.
@ Flaber: si, effettivamente hai ragione, anzi ti ringrazio del suggerimento! E' per questo che è utile pubblicare le foto, perchè altri occhi le vedono in modo diverso dai nostri e ci insegnano a guardare sotto un'altra prospettiva!
@ Cicciopettola: grazie per l'ampio commento! Ovvio, "purtroppo" Venezia è una delle meraviglie del mondo, a due passi da casa nostra. Sarebbe impossibile che non fosse inflazionata! 
La cosa che ho apprezzato è che mi hai trovato delle particolarità che non avevo notato neppure io, cioè la scelta delle focali e dell'esposizione!
Purtroppo di scatti ne ho fatti più d'uno, ma questo era quello "meno inquinato" perchè la fondamenta era piena di persone a passeggio (anche in questa immagine si vede qualche ombra) e il vaporetto è stato il "male minore", purtroppo. Del resto va considerato che non erano le 23 ma era l'ora blu, verso le 17.30, quindi con ancora parecchia gente in giro!

The thing I liked is that I've found some peculiarities that I had not noticed it myself, that the choice of focal and exposure!
Unfortunately shots I've made more than one, but this was "less polluted" because the foundation was full of people walking (even in this picture you can see some shadows) and the boat was the "lesser evil", unfortunately . Moreover it is considered that they were not 23 but it was the blue hour, around 17:30, then with still a lot of people around! ;-)

un'opinione è un'opinione, la mia è questa: scattando con un tempo lungo avresti fatto scomparire i "fantasmini" e sono d'accordo con Davide sulla presenza del vaporetto, ma Venezia è proprio così....
l'importante è essere soddisfatti del proprio lavoro fotografico, penso che tu lo sia per questa foto....

Grazie del passaggio Maxange, in effetti già portando gli ISO da 200 a 100 avrei raddoppiato il tempo di esposizione, forse i fantasmini sarebbero scomparsi! Come si diceva sopra, in effetti è proprio questo il bello del confrontarsi, cioè il valutare delle idee che non sempre si considerano in fase di scatto!
Thanks for the ride Maxange, in fact already carrying the ISO from 200 to 100 would have doubled the exposure time, maybe the ghosts would disappear! As noted above, in fact that's the beauty of the deal, that is, the estimate of the ideas that do not always consider during shooting! ;-)
