Inverno in appennino

, 1/50 f/14.0, ISO 160, tripod.

Beautiful, I really like the composition and (I agree with you) the color of the dark, snow, on my monitor, it is well exposed
and no dominant, for me, despite the light you have certainly not helped, you've managed to get a picture
pleasant.
Greetings Ras.

The red gives meaning to the image, I find that the cut is a bit 'tight

Thanks for the ride and Ras Nikispinnato, for the composition I have no shot larger homogeneous but there is too much snow in the lower right as if to get up to too much sun, high in almost a backlight. I wanted to include only white snow and resume the diagonal fence and I could not orient more to the right because there were tracks and road that had been shoveled (you can see hints of tracks in this image). The ideal would perhaps find some undulations but the grass was almost a table ...

There are situations that do not make it into photography, this is one of those in my opinion. ;-)

The idyllic scene, you mention in the caption of us who were not there with you (unfortunately) we see very little, the house and the snow that surrounds it, by themselves they can not "catch" the 'viewer's attention for more than a few seconds .
The 'wider shot or a vertical cut was necessary in my opinion to provide an extra element of interest and / or to get more context.

Andrea

@ Max
@ Andrea
thank you for your frankness. The shot wide as possible at that time, not to return to the right footprints, tracks and shoveled street was this

unfortunately I could not move back 'cause I was on the edge of the road.
For shooting vertically just did not think, given the relative ease of entry into this place to the next snowfall (damn, we put this sirocco ... although for now it is snowing profusely) I try to put in place the suggestions and maybe try more wide a lens.

I immediately hit the dark red that stand out,
very nice and pleasant to look at! :-)

it is true that the reds stand out and are very nice to look at but I think we needed a larger composition. So it is a bit '"choked." Hopefully street and footsteps could be cloned via the PC.

@ Boccio: thanks for the ride!
@ Pinky: mmm .. the narrow road is wide, as much as he shoveled a snow plow ... but I'll try again when time allows with shot larger (perhaps from another angle to the problem "road") as well as vertically.
Thanks to all the advice.
