Nogorongoro crater, "breakfast point", nibbio posato su una roccia proprio dietro la jeep. Sono sceso e riparandomi dietro la fiancata e ho strisciato a terra sino ad avvicinarmi il più possibile. Parecchi scatti, l'idea per questo era di mettere in risalto lo splendido piumaggio.
Nogorongoro crater, "point B", kite perched on a rock just behind the jeep. They fell behind and shading my side and I crawled on the ground up to get as close as possible. Il breakfast point è una radura in riva ad un piccolo lago. C'è un casotto con i servizi e di solito ci si ferma per la colazione. Si può scendere dalla macchina anche se è preferibile non allontanarsi troppo. La colonia dei nibbi è stanziale e abituata all'uomo. Io di solito cerco un punto defilato abbastanza lontano dai turisti che si divertono ad attirarli con il cibo (pratica deprecabile e assurda). Mi piace molto lo scenario al limite dell'area con le rocce vulcaniche.
The point B is a clearing on the shore of a small lake. There is a hut with the services and usually we stop for breakfast. You can get out of the car even though it is best not to stray too far. The colony of kites is settled and accustomed to humans. I usually try a fairly sheltered spot away from the tourists who enjoy attracting them with food (practice despicable and absurd).
