Trovo molto bello il contrasto del colore delicato del cielo all'orizzonte con le nuvole cupe e minacciose dalle quali si scagliano i fulmini.
L'immagine sembra pendere a sinistra in quanto l'occhio è portato a considerare come linea dell'orizzonte la parte più scura del mare sulla sinistra, invece è la sottile scia luminosa ed è perfettamente in piano.
