the left eye to focus not guesses
must be the one in the foreground
then 1/20 of a second with a d700 ... if you need more I pushed on iso
and I would have saved tenths of seconds exposure.
I still close the composition to emphasize the comparison of the novice

CIAO

Precise technical analysis and meticulous Schirox, but I would look here in this message and cultured bivalence gives me a lot!

HELLO

Comunque complimenti sinceri. Ciao

It 'a shot with clear pictorial similarities (I can think of characters from the past who loved to have his picture taken in front of significant portraits of ancestors). Even the colourist is much sought after, with this contrast of green and purple, the secondary colors of impact and different meaning. Faced with this wealth of references, the slight lack of focus of the eye passes, for me, completely in the background. The medallion you could resume in whole or, alternatively, start the edge of the frame bottom angle of the rhombus. What do you think?
However sincere compliments. Hello

ciao a tutti roberto

it is thanks to your comments that my eye is refined. in fact they were details that I fled like the eye, the medallion, it is true that I could go with the iso, but portroppo I tend to always be back in these cases. other thing that I tend to stay back are the numbers of shots per person, accustomed with the film, I tend to save shots, or rather, I naturally two or three shots then stop.perciò I can only go to see the other pictures to see if I hit your suggerimanti.
thanks again the passage

Fladane has hit the mark! It 'just the similarity with the ancient paintings that makes this fascinating portrait.

Bellissima!

The thing that I like in your portraits and are never banal. We always search for expression and visual message. This is no exception. Bellissima!

Christian

Actually, in addition to this I also thought: "He immortalized the guy with the expression equal to what is behind it. E 'a genius!" Hahahahaha.
Then another thing Roberto: for me the pictures are especially communication of a "message" of who is behind the camera. The technicalities are only marginal part of photography, and as you aprezzo who makes them, but at the same time I think that they go into the second or third floor in a few clicks. It 'a personal opinion of course, but it is worth to think about a bit'.
Greetings
Christian
