Ho scritto un post con le istruzioni poco fa tra i commenti di un'altra foto (che è poi la stessa ma elaborata diversamente...).
Comunque riporto anche qui...  ;)
"ecco le istruzioni... ma mi raccomando c'è da PRESTARE LA MASSIMA ATTENZIONE nel fare questi esperimenti!!
Come materiale serve: una frusta per sbattere le uova (comprane una appositamente se non vuoi che tua moglie te la tiri dietro dopo che glie la riporti tutta abbrustolita...), una catena/laccio/guinzaglio da 50/80cm (meglio con moschettone girevole), lana di acciaio (quella sottile sottile per pulire lavello, fornelli e pentole) e una pila 9v o accendino per innescare la combustione della lana di acciaio. NB: abbigliamento di cotone, felpa con cappuccio e se possibile occhiali di protezione da bricolage. NBB: va scelto un luogo sicuro dove non ci sia nulla che possa prendere fuoco (se ha piovuto da poco o è molto umido puoi andar tranquillo).
Si aggancia il moschettone del filo alla frusta, si "sfilaccia" un po' di lana di acciaio (un paio di rotolini di solito) e si infila dentro alla frusta, poi, tenendo ben saldo il capo libero del filo, si accende la lana appoggiandovi la pila da 9v (va in corto e inizia a rendere incandescenti i filamenti di acciaio), a questo punto si inizia a girare più o meno velocemente, creando così un mare di scintille.
Non è una cosa sicurissima, quindi bisogna prestare molta attenzione perchè le scintille sono abbastanza persistenti (basta guardare i rimbalzi che fanno nella foto) e moooolto calde (me ne è caduta una sulla spalla, la felpa di cotone non si è bruciata, ma il pullover di lana che avevo sotto si è bucato... ).
Non piazzare la fotocamera a meno di 8-10 metri... "
per quanto riguarda lo scatto in se, normalmente setto ISO 100, diaframma da f/8 a f/11 e tempo... dipende dal risultato che si vuole ottenere (considerando che la fiamma dura circa 10/15" nel restante tempo uno può sbizzarrirsi e a giocare col flash).

"Here are the instructions from there ... but I recommend EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION in doing these experiments!
How material is used: a whisk to beat the eggs (buy as a specially if you do not want your wife back after you pull the daughters bring her whole roasted ...), a chain / lace / leash 50/80cm (better with carabiner rotating), steel wool (the thin thin to clean sink, stove and pots) and a stack 9v or lighter to ignite the combustion of the steel wool. NB: clothing, cotton sweatshirt with cappuccio and if possible goggles DIY. NBB: to be chosen a safe place where there is not anything that can catch fire (if it has rained recently or is very humid, you can go quiet).
It engages the hook of the wire to the whip, will "unravel" a bit 'of steel wool (usually a couple of rolls) and slips into the whip, then, holding firmly on the free end of the wire, turning the wool leaning 9v battery (is short and starts to make incandescent filaments of steel), at this point it starts to turn more or less quickly, thus creating a sea of ??sparks.
It is not a very safe thing, so you have to be very careful because the sparks are persistent enough (just look at the rebounds that are in the photo) and soooo hot (I fell on a spallin the cotton fleece was not burned, but the wool sweater I had on was washing ... ).
Do not place the camera in less than 8-10 meters ... "
regarding shooting if, normally septum ISO 100, aperture f / 8 to f/11 and time ... depends on what you want to achieve (considering that the flame lasts about 10/15 "in the remaining time one can have fun and play with the flash).
