Sublimissima !!! In this case, the people are not disturbing the shot and give a size to the place...great job !

So that's what I mean when sometimes I explain in my comments as it should be a picture of architecture well done.
It 's beautiful. You had a great care in the composition and you've done an excellent job in post production, the result is a vivid and detailed picture that strikes immediately.
Congratulations!
But you've got this perfect symmetry only during shooting or there is a big post production work for this perfection?
A free hand it seems really difficult to get lines so perfect, I can not do even with a tripod.

Hello Beppe, I've to be honest and of course post production has its importance as the 14-24mm (extraordinary lens) by nature create some distortion. When I'm shooting I always use the guideline in my viewer and try as much as possible to have the best alignment but as you said it's very difficult to have a perfect alignment. One of the reason I like very much my D800 is because of its high resolution, that let me crop much better than my D7000. Finally I like to leave some space in my architecture photos, this extra free space around the subject give me more flexibility when using the vertical, horizontal, distortion tools of LR. I like nice symmetry and when I'm on the field I'm always thinking about my final results. Actually LR help me to shoot better and when I'm shooting I've always LR in my mind. Finally I like to reveal as much as possible the powerful dynamic range of the D800, I try to extract all the finest colors this camera is able to catch. The camera and the technique is only one part of the photography, talent is more important and that is something I'm trying to learn everyday on Juzaphoto with other talents photographers. Many thanks for your very nice comment.
My warm greetings, Francis

I understand the importance of the possibility offered by the D800 to stay loose during shooting to have the opportunity to intervene in post production with the corrections, you make sure a good use of your camera.
To obtain such a result without the intervention with photoshop you still need to have a really good eye, I've never succeeded.
Congratulations again and thanks for the explanation.

Quoto Beppe, I often critical photos of architecture where we try symmetry but are unable to represent the nn little care for very often in PP. a good shot becomes great if you manage it well, a small phase errors are shooting and optics produce them by themselves, enough to correct them.
here to see what you've done an excellent job well done! to focus you took? how much did you have to take sides? I'll xchè these questions are directed to the purchase of the 12-24sigma that as the focal comes very close to yours.
I'll sincere compliments the stunning realization x the photo is very accurate and detailed with excellent color nn exaggerated.
