Thank you Charles, Saroukai, Hana for liking this photo. To be honest it is much more difficult to shot desert than I could imagine. First the AF is not always working fine despite my high grade lens, the reason is that uniform colors is like blue sky, no contrast, so I had to recompose most of the time. The second very big problem is the fine dust of the sand, this is really a poison for the sensor. Not only on the field but also when cleaning at hotel. You need to blow, blow, blow before cleaning with product to avoid scratches. Also the wide angle is not always the best option as too much dunes on the photo doesn't give a good rendering, a narrow angle underline much better the curves of dunes. Finally developping the RAWs was much difficult than other photos where there is more contrast. The subtility of tones required a fine tunning of my LR sliders. I had as well to clean to many unwanted dust spots.
Anyway I LOVE deserts. I've been in amazona and various tropicals and equatorial forests around the world which are opposite to deserts and both are challenging the photographer.
